Sometimes it’s easy to forget how BIG Queensland is! If it were its own country, it would be the eighteenth largest in the world… woah, let that sink in.
So, naturally there is going to be some hidden gems along the stunning Queensland coastline that must be visited and Yeppoon is one of them! Forget the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise or Noosa, soak your teeth into the magic of the Capricorn Coast and fall in love with this untouched part of Aus. We’ve done some snooping and we’ve put together of some of the best things to do in Yeppoon, so have a read and then start packing your bags because we have Units and Powered Sites open for bidding!
Visit Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary
Located 15 mins from the heart of Yeppoon, the team at Cooberrie Park work tirelessly to rehabilitate and provide sanctuary for all animals in need. All the furry friends you see and interact with there have been rescued from bad situations and will live the rest of their days smiling in this stunning, family-friendly park.
Explore the Capricorn Caves
Step back in a land before time and discover an ancient world! From the front, these caves look pretty low-key, however when you step inside you are transported to a time, millions of years ago with winding passageways, relics of coral reefs and jungles and of course, some awesome fossils. Hold onto your hats, because this is a learning experience not to be missed!

Visit Nob Creek Pottery
Established in 1979, Nob Creek Pottery is the home to stunning jewellery, artwork, pottery and more! Sit back and listen to the owners Steve and Sue talk about the whole pottery process and how they work their magic in the kiln… and don’t forget to take a little memento home!
Spot Turtles From The Lookout
Yes, you read that right! Pack your sneakers and take a trip down to the southern end of Kemp Beach. Here you’ll find a relatively easy (but steep in parts!) walking trail known as the Bluff Point Track. This cruisey walk is less than 1km long and once you get to Turtle Lookout, you can easily spot gorgeous green turtles popping up to the surface to grab a breath of air. How adorable is that! If you’re game to keep exploring, head to the top for panoramic views of the never-ending sea and sky
