So you’ve found a package you’d like to bid for but have no idea how much to bid?
You can start by bidding how much you think it is worth and possibly work up from there. The website or one of our friendly customer service staff (if you’d prefer to call up and bid), will always let you know if you need to increase your bid to be within the top 50 bidders.
When can you expect to hear back?
Once you have successfully lodged a bid, you then need to wait until the auction closing date to find out if your bid has been successful. If you chose to be contacted via email, you will receive an email usually around midday of the closing date. If you chose to be contacted via phone, you will receive a phone call within 48 hours of the close date if you are successful. You are more than welcome to call or email us if you haven’t heard anything within the 48 hour time period.
When does the payment need to be made?
Once you have been notified of your success, you will have 7 days in which to make the payment. You can pay by credit card online (if you chose to be contacted via email) or over the phone. There is also the option of sending a cheque or money order. If you feel that you won’t be able to make the 7 day pay period, please speak to one of our customer service staff and we may be able to negotiate a more realistic date.
What happens after I have made my payment?
You will receive a Travel Auctions voucher. Each voucher has an individual ‘receipt’ number on there which you need to quote in order to make your booking with the property. All the details of your holiday will be on the voucher, as will the address and contact details of the property. We recommend you make your booking well in advance to make sure you don’t miss out on your preferred dates!
